Q: If you could be any movie/TV character, who would you be and why?
A: “I would be Spongebob. I aspire to have as much drip as him.”
Q: What is your favorite song of all time and why?
A: “‘PSY – Gangnam Style.’ I remember when the song first came out and literally everyone and their moms were doing the dance. Now that I think of it, it was probably the most iconic song of our childhood.”
Q: What has been your most embarrassing moment in high school?
A: “Wearing a life vest to school for Hawaiian day. It was a genius outfit that went well with the theme, but it came at the expense of crazy looks from the whole school.”
Q: If you had one more day on Earth, how would you spend it?
A: “I would go on a huge vacation to the Caribbean with my entire family and just celebrate life until it’s all over.”
Q: If you could have dinner with one famous person (living or dead, fictional or real) who would it be and why?
A: “Madison Beer. She’s my celebrity crush, so going on a dinner date with her would be cool.”
Q: What college will you attend? What is your intended major?
A: “I will be attending the University of Texas at Austin and majoring in computer science.”
Q: What extracurriculars have you been in throughout high school?
A: “I mainly did Student Council. Outside of [school], I helped small businesses run their social media accounts and did freelance graphic design.”
Q: What was the most challenging aspect about balancing extracurriculars and academics?
A: “Not procrastinating was the most challenging part. I definitely had trouble making an efficient schedule for myself and following it, but I got better as time went on.”
Q: What class was the hardest for you? Why?
A: “AP U.S. government. It wasn’t the hardest class conceptually, but it had the biggest workload. A couple essays per week on top of other assignments was no joke.”
Q: Who has helped you the most throughout this journey? How have they?
A: “My family. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them, and they have motivated me to be the best version of myself.”
Q: What has been the most memorable part of high school?
A: “Sharing laughs with my friends and making stupid jokes. I really enjoy the little things in life, so it was nice bonding with my friends through laughter.”
Q: What will you miss most about your time in high school?
A: “I will miss seeing all my friends and fellow classmates. As I head to college and start my life, I will probably never see most of the amazing people I’ve met again.”
Q: What advice would you give to your freshman self?
A: “Stop saying no. Time will fly by and graduation will be here at any moment, so cherish the present moment and make as many memories with your friends as possible.”
Q: What are you most excited about regarding college?
A: “Honestly, I’m excited to have a fresh start in life. I look forward to permanently escaping my comfort zone and learning about the ins and outs of life.”
Q: Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?
A: “I’ve always wanted to be a YouTuber, so hopefully I’ll have one million subscribers by then. I want to positively impact people’s lives in some way, so whether it’s through YouTube, my computer science degree or something else, I’ll see what I can accomplish.”
