The 38th Annual Denton County Youth Rodeo and Livestock Show will be held at the county fairgrounds March 25-30.
The livestock show will take place March 25-29. The auction sale will be at 12:30 p.m. on March 30 with the rodeo at 7. The rodeo queen and princess will also be crowned during the rodeo.
Junior Rachel Wheeler will represent the school as a candidate for the rodeo queen.
“FFA actually chose me to represent them,” Wheeler said. “There’s a contest at school that involved three girls and the FFA members voted for a representative.”
Rodeo tickets will cost $5 at the gate. Advance tickets are $4 and can be purchased from rodeo queen and princess candidates. Children 12 and younger get free admission.
Wheeler said she’d be available any time during the day for ticket purchases, but added that students might also find tickets in room D223 or D225.
“I’m selling tickets up until March 30,” Wheeler said. “If you haven’t been to a rodeo, you’re missing out.”
Proceeds from the rodeo will go toward scholarships and to support auction sales.
