Q: What inspired you to play basketball?
A: “When I got out of soccer my mom put me in basketball, and when I tried it I automatically thought, this is what I wanted to do. Also, watching people play the sport got me interested and I wanted to test it out. Now I love this sport.”
Q: What gets you pumped up before a game?
A: “Right before a game I’m always listening to music; to me it doesn’t matter what kind of music as long as I have a rhythm or beat that gets my heart pumped up.”
Q: What’s the most important thing before or after a game?
A: “Going over what you did wrong or how you could improve it, so you know how to fix it and do a better job. Also feeling good that your team did the best they could.”
Q: What life lesson have you learned being a team player?
A: “Being a team player is all about working together, and staying focused. Never quit. Even when things seem hopeless you have to keep moving and trying your best.”
Q: What do you hope to do after high school?
A: “After high school I hope to go to college to play basketball and to hopefully get a scholarship in basketball, and see where it will take me.”
Q: Is there anything else you do that you’re good at or think you’re good at?
A: “I am good at drawing. I actually have loved it since I was really little. The things I like to draw are cartoon characters of any kind. Whenever I feel a little bored, I tend to doodle on some of my school paper work just for the fun of it.”
Q: What’s your motto?
A: “I have two. My motto is ‘if you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful.’ My favorite one is ‘see your greatness, be your greatness.’”
