Desiree Stuckey, Social Media Editor
Desiree Stuckey’s love for photography and journalism began when she was a small child being “chased by paparazzi.” She was constantly shocked by how her aunt could take hundreds of pictures in just a few hours. She didn’t know this yet, but ten years later, she would have her own camera and a memory card holding thousands of her own photos. Desiree is one of the most anti-social people you’ll ever meet, so it’s quite shocking to everyone that she acquired such a strong love for journalism. She has a permanent tint of red on her cheeks due to embarrassment, and she’s constantly stuttering over simple words. She’s on Twitter and Snapchat about 75% of the time, and complains about her clammyness 100% of the time. This is Desiree’s second year on the newspaper staff, and she can’t wait to see what’s in store for her as the social media editor.

I’ve known the Kjas’ for more than 20 years! The first time their name came up on my Caller ID, I thought I was getting a call from a radio station! My son is married to Kara’s sister, so that’s how we met, a long time ago. These two people are the real deal. They are sincere, smart, capable and wonderful human beings and they are raising three well adjusted and well mannered sons. Lewisville happens to be my home town and I’m an LHS grad from 1962. I am so happy Jeff and Kara are such an integral part of Lewisville ISD because they are great role models for students and families. LISD is fortunate and blessed to have them.

I’ve known these two for quite a while and I adore them both! When we all worked on the same campus I was the oldest one, so they started calling me “Mom” and in truth, I came to think of them as my children since mine were so far away; they were fun and creative and I loved their enthusiasm and drive! Valentine’s forever?
