Q: When did art become a passion in your life? 

A: “I always drew as a kid because my mom took art. But I started taking it seriously when I was like 13.”

Q: What keeps you inspired when you work on a project?

A: “Pinterest and other artists I look up to. The colors they use are visually nice and different.”

Q: What part of a finished piece are you most passionate about, why?

A: “The part I love about art, the passion [is in] the sketching process.”

Q: Is there any medium you prefer to work with and why?

A: “I work with watercolor, digital and pencil. I like watercolor because it’s really expressive. It works with water so it’s flowy and I’m able to express more. Digital art because I love to do art when I travel and I can’t carry paint and stuff with me.”

Q: Are there things you prefer to draw?

A: “Humans and plants. Humans because I love anatomy and drawing fluid lines, and plants because they’re pretty.”

Q: Is there someone in your life you work to impress?

A: “My mom is a huge inspiration. She is one of the main reasons I started art in the first place [because] she took art in art school.”

Q: Are you at a point where you think you’ve peaked in your artistic career, why or why not?

A: “No, I haven’t peaked at all because I’m still learning a lot and I don’t think I’m where I’m supposed to be. I’m not sure how far my talent will bring me.”

Q: What are your future projects and ideas you’ll work on?

A: “I’m currently taking AP Art. I still have to work on my portfolio. I’m planning on going to art school and venture into animation.”
