Farmer Feedback: Should passing period be longer?

“I don’t really like the length of the passing period because it’s so short and you don't have time to meet up with anybody. I just don't think it’s fair that we have to be in class all day. Why should we get such a low amount of time for passing periods? I think seven minutes is the most reasonable amount of time.”

“I think it’s fine. I wouldn't mind a couple extra minutes because I come from the bus; I think if it were longer then I would have enough time to get to class, but I’m still fine with it because I get a late bus pass. I think five minutes is still a good length.”

“For me, it’s all right because my classes aren’t far from each other. For some other people it might be bad because, say you’re on one side of the school and your other class is all the way on the other side. Seven minutes might be good for other people.” 

“I feel like I don’t have time to go to the restroom and go to class. My third period is downstairs and I have to come all the way upstairs for my fourth period. “I think it’s a good amount of time. I normally get caught up at the stairs so sometimes it’s not enough time, but I think it’s better than middle school. I do think it would be better if they added a couple more minutes just because if you’re going from downstairs to upstairs you can get stuck on the stairs; I’d rather not get a tardy for that.”

“I think passing period could be a little longer; we can’t make it to class on time every day. I think it should be seven or eight minutes considering people have to go from school to school.”

 “I feel like it should be seven minutes instead of five. Five minutes is barely enough time to even get to class. Seven, it’s like ‘OK, I don’t have to rush or anything.’ You know you would make it to class on time.”

“I don’t mind it, but I feel like we do need more time. I have a class on the third floor and I have to go down to the first floor and it's really far to walk all the way down there. Sometimes I need to go to the bathroom and it's not enough time for me to go. I would say seven minutes would be OK for passing period.”
