Q: What college will you attend? What is your intended major and why that major?
A: “I’m going to attend The University of Texas at Austin, and my intended major is astrophysics. I’m really interested in the science behind stars and the orbits of planets.”
Q: What extracurriculars have you been involved in throughout high school?
A: “I’ve been in the National Honors Society. I was also part of the Student Council for a couple years, and I’m still part of Interact. I also did National Science Honor Society, and I also did HOSA and chess club.”
Q: What was the most challenging aspect about balancing extracurriculars and academics?
A: “I’ll say anxiety. I have anxiety, and I was just overwhelmed.”
Q: What class was the most challenging for you? Why?
A: “Probably calculus. It was the most fun class, but the skill was really difficult. I’m OK with math. I liked it; it was just a lot.”
Q: Who has helped you the most throughout these last four years? How have they helped you?
A: “My parents. They always try to make sure I dont stay too overwhelmed and they pay for school related things. They support me in what I want to do; they don’t stress me out about things.”
Q: What has been the most memorable part of high school?
A: “I have to say prom. I’m trying to remember everything from this year but definitely prom.”
Q: What advice would you give to your freshman self?
A: “You should probably not take seven AP exams in just one year.”
Q: What are you most excited about regarding college?
A: “I’m really excited it’s in Austin, which is a really great scene. I’m ready to attend the classes and just learn about science.”
