ZOOMING IN
Q: What exactly went into the decision to commit to the University of Oklahoma for football?
A: “A lot went into it. The culture, the environment–I loved everything. I took time to learn about the culture and know it. I wanted to let them know that.”
Q: Why did Oklahoma stand out from the rest of the schools in your top seven?
A: “The relationship they built with me and my family. They never digressed. We never stayed down in any situations. They stuck with us thick and through. The relationship they made with us was just beautiful.”
Q: What was your favorite part about visiting the school in Norman, OK?
A: “It had to be watching the film with Coach [Bill Bedenbaugh] and just spending time with him and the food. Those are my favorite parts.”
Q: What educational factors went into your decision?
A: “I want to major in business marketing and real estate, and I believe they have a program that is set up for me there that’s going to help me with my future endeavors. Getting that degree is important to me.”
Q: What game were you most proud of over your high school career?
A: “I’ve got to say last year against Hebron. Talk about the execution that I felt I came up with. I actually played that game on a hurt knee, but I still came up with good execution.”
Q: What are you most excited about for your college career?
A: “Having the chance to go out and dominate. A chance to go compete. Be with the big dogs. Having those relationships and having fun. Also, education.”
Q: What will you miss most about your high school career?
A: “It’s got to be the people. The people I see every day. The game is going to be really different. The coaches like Coach [Nate] Blackwell and [staff like] Principal [Jim] Baker. It’s going to be different.”
