Farmer Feedback: 2025-2026 NHS officers

How will you contribute to the development of NHS and what improvements do you want to make for a better environment?

Internally for NHS, I would like to strengthen our community and increase the bond that we have amongst each other. I want everyone to know each other. Externally, I want to extend the presence of NHS outside of the school walls. I want NHS to be an organization that people can rely on outside of the school .An example of how I would do that is sending out groups of people that are able to represent NHS rather than individuals that would like to do community service. I feel whenever you have an organization that has set out to do community service, it paints a better look on the organization and it kind of helps people associate good qualities to the association rather than the individuals.”

One way I see myself contributing to the growth of NHS is by helping everyone feel more connected and involved. I want the members to enjoy coming to meetings and participating in community activities, not just doing them because they have to. I would also love to give the members opportunities to voice their opinions and share any ideas that could make the organization more engaging. This would definitely encourage more participation when we have meetings and make everyone feel more involved. If I could make any changes, I’d focus on communication and support. I’ve noticed that sometimes people miss out on events or volunteer opportunities because they didn’t know about them. By creating a welcoming space where everyone feels informed and included, the members will feel comfortable around each other, making NHS a better experience for everyone.”

Through social media, I believe that I can make NHS more interactive with one another and make it easier for people to remember things like big social community service opportunities because it’s very easy to forget things like that. So I believe that through social media, it’ll be a lot easier to remember key events. We also talked briefly and it’s not official yet about offering more leadership programs for people in NHS. Without NHS telling them to do it for hours, we want to have workshops for them to engage or increase skills for themselves.”
