Q: What college will you attend? What is your intended major and why that major?
A: “I plan on attending UTD and majoring in mechanical engineering.”
Q: What extracurriculars have you been involved in throughout high school?
A: “Throughout high school, I’ve been involved in Men of Distinction, AVID, robotics, NHS and StuCo for the most part.”
Q: What was the most challenging aspect about balancing extracurriculars and academics?
A: “The most challenging aspect about balancing the two was definitely time management. I had to have time to study as well as participate in extracurriculars, which was a pain at times.”
Q: What class was the most challenging for you? Why?
A: “The most challenging class for me was either chemistry or statistics, both of which were because of all the formulas and concepts I had to memorize.”
Q: Who has helped you the most throughout these last four years? How have they helped you?
A: “Over the last four years, my family helped me for a large part. They kept me on track and helped me back up whenever I would fall down in a rut.”
Q: What has been the most memorable part of high school?
A: “The most memorable part of high school was probably the friends I made along the way.”
Q: What advice would you give to your freshman self?
A: “If I had to give my freshman self advice, I’d tell him not to rush too much and take my time with things so that I don’t get burned out. I’d also tell him to have fun and enjoy the little things more.”
Q: What are you most excited about regarding college?
A: “I’m excited to meet new people and be able to make a lot more decisions on my own.”
Q: Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?
A: “In 10 years, I hope to have discovered something game changing which would benefit the world.”
Q: What would you change about your high school experience?
A: “The one thing I would change about my high school experience is how much there was to do. I feel that if I had more free time, the experience would have been much more enjoyable than it.”
