Q: What college will you attend? What is your intended major and why that major?
A: “I will be at UT Austin for chemical engineering because I realized physics was not for me and I like chemistry a whole lot more.”
Q: What extracurriculars have you been involved in throughout high school?
A: “It’s pretty short, I just do NHS and I’m president of the robotics club.”
Q: What was the most challenging aspect about balancing extracurriculars and academics?
A: “To be honest, I don’t really have much trouble balancing [work] because I don’t spend that much time [doing schoolwork] outside of school, but I make sure to not waste my time whenever I do have a chance to do schoolwork.”
Q: What class was the most challenging for you? Why?
A: “It was probably AP chemistry, because of the amount of work and the amount of practice and actual content there is in it.”
Q: Who has helped you the most throughout these last four years? How have they helped you?
A: “Until this year, probably my friends. The only way to get through so much content is just being able to work together on lots of practice in the work.”
Q: What has been the most memorable part of high school?
A: “Robotics since it’s where I spend the most of my time.”
Q: What advice would you give to your freshman self?
A: “[To] not waste your time.”
Q: What are you most excited about regarding college?
A: “Getting out on my own away from home.”
Q: Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?
A: “Have a good career, [be] able to travel [and] maybe have a house. I’ll look into internships during college in hopes of it going to a potential job offer.”
Q: What would you change about your high school experience?
A: “Not slacking off freshman year and taking some AP [courses].”
