Review: Shocking night of Sports Entertainment

Despite lack of spectacle, Wrestlemania 30 remains memorable

The wrestling roster of the WWE makes an appearance during the Dallas taping of Monday Night Raw at the American Airlines Center in December.

The WWE management lacked luster in the line-up of the matches for WrestleMania 30, but the passion and talent shown by the wrestlers rose to the occasion.

Most of the matches were pretty entertaining especially the main event.

There was disappointment over the lack of grand entrances. WrestleMania is known for their outrageous entrances and there were no shocking ones this year. Most of them were plain and the same as the normal entrances for Monday Night Raw or Friday Night Smackdown.

Also, every year, some big named artist performs, but not this year. The WWE should have gotten at least one well-known singer to perform, so viewers get a full-blown WrestleMania.

The first match of the night included C.O.O. Triple H and Daniel Bryan. It was a very dangerous and risky match. All their energy poured out into this match, making it a great match to watch.

Daniel Bryan pinned Triple H for the win.

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H acted like sore losers and beat up Bryan after he won fair and square. It was unprofessional, especially coming from the C.O.O. and Chief Brand Officer of the WWE.

For the first time ever, 30 wrestlers fought for the Andre the Giant Memorial trophy. This rumble was interesting and fun to watch, because you didn’t know who was going to get eliminated.

A must-see match was John Cena versus Bray Wyatt.

For the past few months, Wyatt was trying to bring out the monster inside of Cena. During portions of the fight, that monster was starting to appear,  but Cena did not let that happen. Cena stayed true to himself and ended up the victor, and proved that Wyatt did not overcome Cena’s mind.

Almost every year someone calls out the Undertaker and says that they can beat his impressive 21-0 streak in Wrestlemanias. This year, there was no difference.

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar fought till there was nothing left in them. This was the most jaw-dropping match of the night. Most of the WWE Universe thought that they would never see the streak be broken, ever.

The “ruthless” Brock Lesnar  defeated the Undertaker, making history and breaking the streak.

Some WWE fans would have have liked the Undertaker to win, but at the end of the day he is still a legend and always will be. Both contenders gave their best and it showed in the match, making it a legendary showdown and a fitting end to an era.

Vickie Guerrero managed the Divas Championship rumble. Basically every diva fought in the ring and the first diva to pin another diva would win the Divas title.

The idea of the match was good and had never been done before.

AJ ended up winning and still remains the longest-reigning Divas Champion.

The last match of the night, which is also the most anticipated match of the night, was a triple threat match featuring WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, Batista and Daniel Bryan.

This was not a fair match at all.  Stephanie and Triple H interfered and got a crooked referee in the ring. But Bryan was determined to win even though he knew all odds were against him.

This was, for sure,  a match to remember. Bryan not only won the match, but he won also the WWE World Heavyweight Championship title. What a magical moment for Daniel Bryan, all his hard work payed off. The WWE definitely saved the best for last.

At the end off the night, whether your favorite wrestler won or not, WrestleMania 30 was entertaining and somewhat successful.
