Next Harry Potter installment to be released in July.

For years now, the story of Harry Potter has captivated many readers, both young and old, with its tale of wizardry and magic. Even when the popular series came to an end, the buzz of the fantasy novels never died. Now the incredible story of Harry Potter, the boy who lived, continues in an epic eighth edition, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”

Though the idea began as a possible novel idea, J.K. Rowling, the author of the worldwide bestseller series, gathered a creative team who decided to present the story as a stage play. Many have questioned the decision to produce the story in this way, however Rowling claims “When audiences see the play they will agree that it is the only proper medium for the story.” Though the author herself is not directly in charge of the play, she is helping to co-produce this highly anticipated narrative.

Much hasn’t been said about the upcoming performance, however Rowling has released brief snapshots of what the overall story will be centered around. “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” takes place nineteen years after Deathly Hallows and revolves around Harry’s youngest son, Albus Severus Potter. The story picks up with Harry growing into his roles, and working to maintain the balance of being an employee for the Ministry of Magic, a husband and a father all at the same time. However, Albus, just like his father, is dealing with the weight of a family legacy that he wanted no part of.

The Cursed Child” will debut on either July 30 or July 31, 2016 in London as the first story in the critically acclaimed series to be performed on stage. Though the play will be the first release of the anticipated story, there has been a confirmation that the stage play will eventually be converted into a novel and included as the eighth edition of the series.
