After two months of preparation, the school’s cast and crew of “Alice in Wonderland” will debut their show tonight at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

After tonight, they will have two more shows tomorrow at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The tickets can be purchased here and are $5 for students and $10 for adults. The students auditioned for their roles at the end of March, where junior Abigail Ehrenberg was chosen to play the Mad Hatter.

“I’m just letting go and letting myself look insane because that’s the point,” Ehrenberg said.

Along with the actors, there are others who contribute to the show behind the scenes to make it complete. Students applied to be a part of the lighting, sound, prop, set and costume crews.

“This show is a very heavy technical show,” said Gabriella Morrison, senior and production stage manager. “I’m excited to see the aspect of tech running because it’s ‘Alice in Wonderland,’ so things have to move magically,”

For six weeks, about 60 people contributed to bringing the production of “Alice in Wonderland” to life. Many newcomers joined in this production. The cast and crew have spent the last week preparing for their performances until 10 p.m. at the school.

“Actors are unpredictable,” director Abagayle Postoak said. “Once the show starts, it is all up to them. Sometimes it’s exactly what we rehearsed and sometimes they get a wild hair and sprinkle their own magic in it. I’ve never seen it before but there it is, right in front of the audience.”
