I’m not sure what senioritis is. Some say they have really bad senioritis, some say it’s not real. If it’s just the fear of moving on to a different stage of life, then I don’t have it. For my future, I am relieved I get an extra seven hours a day freed up to do something that actually means something. I already work full time, and it’s a piece of cake, so with my newly freed up time, I want to try everything. Whether it be making music, poker or boxing, I really like starting over or trying new things. I even made a podcast where I try new things.
My journey in journalism started with me being shoved into Journalism because I needed a second period, and I was surprisingly good at it. I got my story published in the newspaper while in Journalism, before even joining the newspaper class. While I’m not crazy about a future in journalism, it influenced discussions to major in marketing and business.
As for my past in high school, I’ve had a great experience. I met great people who I spent time with inside and outside of school. The memories I’ve made will last a lifetime, and I hope to stay connected with most of the people I’ve become close to over the years. I’ve never had a bad teacher. They all have their strong suits and flaws, making the best out of it helped me understand the benefits all of my teachers have brought me, so thank you.
I’d like to thank my parents and family for all their sacrifices and helping me in my life, for keeping me in check and on a path to success. I love my family and appreciate all of their unconditional love.
To Ruben, Kevin and Samatha, thank you for being my main distraction in the newspaper. Talking to you all made the past year of newspaper fun and entertaining. You guys were definitely the ones I was the closest to. Even after knowing you guys for a brief period of time, we became fast friends.
To Jadea, Finn and Charlize, yes I will admit it: You guys have a good taste in music, even though y’all have annoyed me to death a few times. A majority of the time, you guys were entertaining with your arguments and drama.
To Zain, Jade, Taylor and AJ, I’ve known y’all longer than I have known everyone else on staff. You all are really good writers, Ruben too, and will definitely have a successful future in journalism.
To Noah, Adolfo and Landon, we didn’t talk much. I wish I had more time to become better friends with you guys because from what I’ve seen, you all are really nice and cool people I should’ve talked to more.
