About the Contributors

Megan Leigh, Photographer
There’s no easy way to describe Megan Leigh other than that she’s a giant nerd with amazing hair and great music taste. When she’s not obsessing over Twenty One Pilots or Nathan Adrian, you can find her watching Netflix or procrastinating. She enjoys going to concerts, spicy food, and drinking coffee in the middle of the night. Harry Potter and video games take up a lot of her free time but art is her passion. Some of her greatest accomplishments have come from her art, writing, and photography. She’s excited to contribute her time and ideas to this year’s newspaper and hopes it will help her with her future in college.

Desiree Stuckey, Social Media Editor
Desiree Stuckey’s love for photography and journalism began when she was a small child being “chased by paparazzi.” She was constantly shocked by how her aunt could take hundreds of pictures in just a few hours. She didn’t know this yet, but ten years later, she would have her own camera and a memory card holding thousands of her own photos. Desiree is one of the most anti-social people you’ll ever meet, so it’s quite shocking to everyone that she acquired such a strong love for journalism. She has a permanent tint of red on her cheeks due to embarrassment, and she’s constantly stuttering over simple words. She’s on Twitter and Snapchat about 75% of the time, and complains about her clammyness 100% of the time. This is Desiree’s second year on the newspaper staff, and she can’t wait to see what’s in store for her as the social media editor.
