Senior prince Julius Campbell
Q: What homecoming tradition are you most excited for and why?
A: “The parade because I like riding on the floats. It’s a different experience [because] I haven’t been in the homecoming parade every year.”
Q: Have you always wanted to be on homecoming court? Why or why not?
A: “In the past, I never cared until someone actually convinced me to run this year.”
Q: How does it feel to be nominated as homecoming prince?
A: “I was actually very surprised because there were other people that I was running against, they ran before and one of them actually won last year.”
Q: How did you get nominated for homecoming prince?
A: “Mrs. Stamey actually helped me out a lot by putting my ballot on and getting me in StuCo and all the other activities that I do.”
Q: Who/what inspired you to get involved in homecoming?
A: “Lester Thigpen because I got tired of seeing him win.”
Q: Do you feel that this homecoming is different than previous years? Why or why not?
A: “It’s different for me because it’s the first time I’m running for homecoming court and it’s my senior year.”
Q: What do you like about the homecoming traditions?
A: “I like that our school keeps them constant [and] we do the same traditions every year.”
Q: What do you like about this year’s homecoming theme?
A: “It’s different. I would’ve never expected them to do this theme. I was expecting some type of throwback theme, and it’s still a throwback, just back to our childhood.”
