Senior princess Tara Truong
Q: What homecoming tradition are you most excited for and why?
A: “I’m excited for the game itself because it really brings in all the players and students. Especially sitting in the student section, [the] Rowdy Crowd, [because] it really gets the pride and spirit up.”
Q: Have you always wanted to be on homecoming court?
A: “No, it never felt like it was my thing or that I needed to, but I thought it’s my senior year so why not?”
Q: How does it feel to be nominated as homecoming princess?
A: “It’s nice because it’s senior year so it’s all about having fun and being happy really getting out of your comfort zone.”
Q: Who nominated you and why do you think they did?
A: “My student council adviser, most likely because she sees me during class, how hard I work and that I’m kind to everybody.”
Q: What inspires you to be a part of homecoming court?
A: “I think having the pressure of [it] being my last year of high school. I wanted to get out there and make the best of every moment.”
Q: Do you feel this homecoming is different from previous years?
A: “I think it’s because it’s senior year, all of us are just having fun and not caring about what other people think. Doing the most we can.”
Q: What do you like about the homecoming traditions?
A: “I like that it’s the one time of the year where we’re all just one school. No matter how broken down our school gets, whether our spirit or pride falls, during homecoming everyone always comes together and shares memories.”
Q: What do you like about this year’s homecoming theme?
A: “I like it because it’s Disney and it’s really cute. Ever since freshman year, I’ve always wanted it to be Disney because it’s just so happy.”
