ZOOMING IN
Q: How can the classes you’re currently taking benefit you in your future career?
A: Health science benefits me with learning medical terms, the anatomy of the human body, physiology, etc. This will help me in my future because it would give me a head start in my career; I would basically have background knowledge.
Q: How do you memorize all the medical terms you’ve learned so far?
A: I study, use quizlet and I use flash cards. It helps it engrave it into my mushy brain.
Q: Knowing you have an advantage, how will you treat that opportunity?
A: I won’t take it for granted because that will help me in the future. But I’m going to regret not listening in the class though if I keep getting off task.
Q: If you don’t get to fulfill that career, how would you feel?
A: I would actually be really sad and my mind is stuck to that career. And not being able to do what I want is sad…I don’t know what I would do. I honestly do not.
Q: How do you think your parents would feel if you were to succeed in your career choice?
A: Happy, very very happy. My parents don’t believe in me that much; being able to prove them wrong would be great. I would feel great as well.
Q: How can you become mentally prepared to become a pediatric nurse?
A: I’m really sensitive especially when it’s babies. I guess I can start volunteering at hospitals though to get experience. Then hopefully I’ll be more mentally prepared and I’ll be stable when it comes to little babies.
Q: How will this career choice impact you?
A: It would make me more humble, nice and responsible. I think it’ll mature me in a lot of different ways as well. For example, mentally I’ll get a hold of my feelings so I know exactly what to say to parents.
