ZOOMING IN
Q: Why did you join senior class officers?
A: “To help out the community, help out the school, and I’ve always liked being a leader in classes. I felt like this was my best opportunity to help others in need.”
Q: What are your plans after senior year?
A: “I plan on majoring in aerospace engineering and minoring in electrical engineering.”
Q: What do you work on as a project officer for senior class officers?
A: “So the project officer is in charge of any DASH events; DASH stands for drugs, alcohol, safety and health. Anything that has to do with drugs all falls on me like kindness week or Red Ribbon Week.”
Q: How do you make being a senior officer fun?
A: “My favorite part is talking to all the different students. That’s what really pulled me into the senior officers: talking to everyone, making new friends and having connections with everyone.”
Q: What are you looking forward to this senior year?
A: “I would say Battle of the Axe is probably my favorite and then graduation, all of the senior events, and all the football season and soccer season games.”
Q: What projects are you excited for that the senior officers planned?
A: “I’m in charge of the Halloween carnival. It’s probably my biggest project right now. I’m really focusing on that right now.”
Q: Who’s your inspiration?
A: “Obviously, my parents; they came from Mexico. I think they did a pretty good job with me. They’ve always been there for me.”
Q: Who helped you the most to get you where you are today?
A: “My parents; they always got off work to come help me out with anything. They always came early from work to go to my practices, so that really inspired me.”
Q: What college are you planning to attend?
A: “I’m planning on going to A&M, UTA or UTD. As I said before, I want to major in aerospace engineering and one day work for Lockheed Martin.”
Q: What’s the worst thing about being the project officer for senior officers?
A: “So the project officer doesn’t really have a daily agenda. We usually have something every month or two. So, some days I do have to make something out of the blue. I would say that would be the worst part about being a project officer.”
