For students looking for a little extra cash, several businesses are hiring or accepting applications. The Farmers’ Harvest has checked out the following employers for you.
Zone Action Park, located at 1951 Summit Ave., is currently accepting applications for party hosts/hostesses, and outside attendants. They require part-timers for cashiers and hosts, and both full- and part-timers for outdoor attendants including go-kart operators.
“We are looking for someone with customer service experience, [someone who] deals with little kids,” manager Tiffany Demoss said.
Training is also a requirement for those interested in operating equipment or go-karts. They are currently accepting both paper and online applications.
Albertsons, at 1087 W. Main St. , is currently accepting applications for full- and part-timers. There are multiple positions available to choose from, but applicants must be 16 years of age or older with the exception of some positions that require at least 18 years of age. Apply at the store or online.
When a position opens up, you will be notified if accepted. Operating hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. everyday.
For animal lovers, try Canine Courtyard, located at 3209 Justin Rd. in Flower Mound. They are accepting student applications for part-timers only. The primary position available is for kennel technicians who walk, clean, feed, and occasionally play with the pets.
Applicants must be dog-friendly, able to multitask, “see that something needs to be done [and do] it like a self-starter,” owner Davina Borland said. They do not have an online application, and an interview is required to accept a submitted application.
Pizza Hut, at 2154 S. Hwy 121, and other Pizza Huts around the area, will be accepting applications. Positions available include customer service representatives, delivery drivers, cook/prep people, and washers.
Positions will start with part-time only and will eventually move to full-time if desired. Online applications are preferred. If accepted, there will be two to three preliminary interviews and then a main interview, followed by a tour of the store. Training is required for every position.
