The volleyball team will hit the road to take on Plano East on Friday.
Previously injured player senior outside hitter Mandy Romenesko will be back in full swing on Friday night.
“It was really hard because it is my senior year,” Romenesko said. “I wanted not to miss as many games as possible.”
The team is still looking for its first district win through six matches. The team has a 10-13 overall.
“Our district’s pretty hard, but I think with our team commitments, and everything we’ve just been doing pretty well,” senior Katie Loveday said.
The team has some new plays this year along with the fact that they have been training pretty hard since the summer.
“Play B, is what the hitters run best, it’s not too complicated,” sophomore setter Kristyn Nicholson said. “I run it the most.”
The girls said fan attendance helps the team’s performance.
“Come support our games, ’cause we like the energy,'” sophomore Ellaina Bailey said. “If you bring it, it just comes to the court.”
