The football team is trying to bounce back after a 36-0 loss to Hebron at the homecoming game last Friday, leaving them 2-4 overall with no district wins.
“This week we can change [the losing streak] because of all the hard work we’ve been putting in,” junior quarterback Corey Duran said. “And I think it will have a good turn for us.”
Senior running back Rodrick Williams has his sights on persistence during the game.
“[I plan to] just keep running hard, and fighting hard every play until the end of the game,” Williams said.
For Duran, the only thing to worry about is to fine tune the small problems.
“I think we need to improve on not making little mistakes and we’ll be good,” Duran said.
On Friday the Farmers will take on the Flower Mound Jaguars (2-4, 1-2) at FMHS.
“We’ve just got to keep fighting,” Williams said. “We had [a few] people fail. And they aren’t playing, so we just got to keep playing.”
