Senior Marquis Williams is one of the players the Farmers will be counting on in this week’s pair of home games with the playoffs on the line. The Farmers host Plano tonight and Marcus on Friday.

The boys basketball team will match up against their fellow maroon rivals, Plano Senior, tonight at 7:30 p.m. With a home court advantage, and a 1-12 in district Wildcats as the opponent, the Farmers should not have a problem securing a win tonight and improving their to 8-7 in district 6-6A.

The only thing standing in the way of a playoff run are our neighbors to the west, the Flower Mound Jaguars. FMHS currently is half a game ahead of the Farmers with a 7-6 district record, and in sole possession of 4th place and the final playoff spot. Unfortunately for the Jaguars, they have to face the top-ranked Plano West Wolves tonight (a game that will most likely only add to the Wolves reign over 6-6A, as Plano West is unbeaten in district play this year).

In a tie for fifth with us, the Marcus Marauders avoid a game tonight, only to face the Farmers this Friday. If we pull through with a win tonight, and Flower Mound takes their expected loss, the Farmers will be in sole possession of fourth place when the Marauders take a trip to Farmer Nation this Friday.

Super Senior Night

The Lady Farmer hoops team finished their final home game right last Friday, with a 62-52 win over McKinney Boyd. It was the last time the senior girls played at Farmer Arena, and though emotions were in the air, the girls pulled together a victory.

Bowling On Through

This last Saturday our bowling team was impeccable as we won 15-0 against Marcus. It was an amazing team effort, and the team even managed to bowl nine strikes in a row. With one week left in season we are now only two points out of first place. Individually, bowler Conner Mixson led the way with a 234 and a 233. With a guaranteed trip to the team regional qualifier, we must wait to see who will qualify individually in regionals.
