Coming from a loss of 5-1 against first place Hebron (14 wins-2 loses-2 ties overall, and 6-0-2 in district), the Lady Farmers (6-6-6, 2-5-2) are still planning to give their best shot to win their last game against Coppell (11-3-7, 3-3-3) at home tonight at 7:30.

“There isn’t much to play for, but we still have to play strong and hard,” head coach Rebecca Willett said.  “Friday will be their last game of the year. No matter what happens the girls are still fighting and playing hard.”

This is senior captain Sydney Priest’s last game. She is torn to be leaving the team but is ready to move on.

“I want to push on and encourage the team to keep going although the seniors are gone, I know they have the potential to do better next year,” Priest said.

The two teams tied in their previous matchup, 1-1 at Coppell on Feb. 25. Coppell enters tonight’s game following a 2-0 win over Denton Ryan on Tuesday.

Tonight is senior night and there will be a special presentation before the varsity game begins.
