Coming off a 57-38 win Tuesday against Denton Ryan [6-19 overall, 2-6 in district], the Lady Farmers [12-13, 2-6] are taking on Hebron tonight [14-8, 5-3] in the final battle at home for the season.

The girls are currently tied with Denton Ryan for 4th place in district. In order to make playoffs, the team has to beat Hebron [14-8, 5-3] and Coppell [3-18, 0-8].

If the Lady Farmers are still tied with Denton Ryan after the last two games, there will be a tie-breaker game to decide who will be in the playoffs.

In the first game against Hebron the girls lost 44-41. But head coach Charlotte Jones said she has pushed the girls to get them ready for playoffs.

“[We have been] putting them in game situations during practice,” Jones said. “ Putting them in game situations in practice mentally puts them in game-mode. As if we are in a real game because I truly believe that you practice exactly how you’re gonna play.”

Even though there is added pressure for this game and winning being a major key to making it into playoffs, it is the last game at home for the season and a special night for the team’s seniors.

“It’s gonna be emotional, but also exciting to see if we win,” senior Elizabeth Simon said.

Senior Monisha Neal said she’s ready.

“We’ve got to go out with a bang,” Neal said.
