Taylor Swift performs “Shake It Off” with Charli XCX and Camila Cabello at AT&T Stadium on Friday, Oct. 5.

Five months after her first stadium tour began, Taylor Swift’s North American “Reputation” tour finally comes to an end in Arlington last Friday night at AT&T Stadium.

With the opening acts, Charli XCX and Camila Cabello hype the crowd before Swift makes her appearance. Fans may not have known all of Charli XCX’s music but she didn’t fail at bringing joy and excitement for the crowd while Cabello showed off her moves and talented vocal range.

After a 45-minute wait, the lights dim and the audience screams with anticipation as an introduction video plays on the screen behind the stage. The stage is a giant ‘X’ with screens in the floor that display stunning visuals as Swift dances and sings.

Swift makes a dramatic entrance, kicking off the start of her setlist with her hit song “…Ready For It?” Keeping the intense and upbeat vibe of her last song, Swift literally brings the heat with her song “I Did Something Bad.” Jets of fire shoot out from the top of the stage, shedding warmth onto audience members sitting on the upper levels. After her performance of “Gorgeous,” Swift takes fans back to the past performing a mashup of her old songs “Style,” “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me.”

The lights go out again until Swift brings back the dramatic tone with “Look What You Made Me Do.” Dancers bring out a golden throne with snake-like accents to the center of the stage for the beginning of the performance. About halfway through the song, the screen behind the stage splits and separates to reveal a giant special-effect snake.

Slowing the tempo, Swift sings the opening to “Delicate” as she floats above the crowd in a platform strung with pretty lights and designs. Making it to another stage in the center of the stadium, Cabello and Charli XCX reappear to feature “Shake It Off.” Dancers sporting vibrantly colored outfits come up as even more snakes emerge from the floor of the stage. Laying off the heavy bass for a bit, Swift brings out her guitar to sing acoustic versions of “Dancing With Our Hands Tied” and “White Horse.”

As usual, Swift announces there will be a special guest to perform. Not making the audience wait any longer, Maren Morris comes out to the stage to sing “The Middle,” making the crowd sing along as the whole stadium glows with bright green lights.

Nearing the end of the concert, Swift takes breaths away as she stuns the crowd singing “Long Live” and “New Year’s Day” while playing the piano. Swift disappears before a short video plays on the screens, opening up to her outstanding performance of “Getaway Car.”

Bringing the magical night to an end, Swift closes with a mashup of “We Are Never Getting Back Together” and “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.” Fans scream their goodbyes as Swift lowers into the stage.

Overall, Swift’s concert exceeded fans’ expectations in almost every aspect such as the singing, visuals and dancing. Swift has definitely made her second to last tour performance in the United States an unforgettable one and has fans excited to see what Swift has to offer them in the future.
