The Michael Gallup meet and greet will be located on the lower level at Music City Mall.

Pros & Heroes will be hosting a meet and greet with the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup on Saturday, Nov 3 at 3 p.m. The store is located in Music City Mall and specializes in customizing frames for keepsakes and having merchandise for all sports teams. The store has been preparing all week for the meet and greet.

“Running a small business has a lot of moving parts and we have to give our time to them all,” co-partner Joe Stratton said.

The store owners are hoping for a record turn out with the meet and greet and for fans to enjoy the experience and want to come back to their store, Pros & Heroes.

“Whether it be to attend another autograph signing appearance or to purchase a piece of sports memorabilia from us, we enjoy hosting these events, and it gives us a chance to interact with new and repeat customers,” co-partner Brent Kesler said.

Ticket prices for the event range between $10 to $40 depending on what the customers want signed. Fans are allowed to shake Gallup’s hand, take a picture with him and receive his autograph. They are able to come up close and personal with a professional athlete at the event.

“We have hosted many athletes in our stores over the years,” Kesler said. “They have always been good. Some better than others. The best player appearances are when the athlete takes the time to interact with the fans. Everyone seems to have more fun when that is the case.”

Junior Stuart Levesque has been a committed Cowboys fan since he was young. He has had the opportunity to interact with another Cowboys player before this event as well.

“It’s really cool meeting an athlete because I’m an athlete too and being on their level is so rare,” Levesque said. “I look up to people like that and it’s just a great experience.”

Fans may receive Gallup’s autograph on football helmets, jerseys, photo cards or mini helmets. With meet and greets, they can never predict the amount of fans that may show up.

“We would say between 50 and 200 people is the typical turn out,” Kesler said. “It just all depends on the demand to meet a player and get his signature. We are hoping that Michael, being a new player with the Cowboys, will get the public excited and there will be a nice crowd to meet him.”
