Q: What do you enjoy most about band?

A: “The people and being able to play good music with everybody.”

Q: What memory from band do you cherish the most?

A: “It’ll have to be at the very end of last year after area finals when I just bawled my eyes out when we were all done. That was one of our best performances.”

Q: What instrument do you play, and why did you pick it from the start?

A: “I play saxophone, and I picked saxophone because one of my grandpa’s old friends had a whole bunch of saxophones in his basement, and it’s stuck with me for the rest of my life.”

Q: What motivates you to be out in the hot summer during summer band camp?

A: “The end product. I’m ready for us to be further along in the season and see how far it goes.”

Q: What is your favorite part about concert and marching season?

A: “My favorite part about concert season is honestly being able to play really good music while sitting down. Then, for marching band, it’s definitely the bus rides to go to competitions.”

A: “I’ve been in band for six years, and I do plan on doing music in college and then after college as well.”

Q: How do you balance your normal everyday life with band on top of it?

A: “It’s not too hard, I just practice when I can and then I definitely take my time to relax and recharge.”

Q: What advice would you give to the underclassmen in band?

A: “Just keep putting hard work in every day. Don’t stop until you make it where you want to go.”

Q: What’s your favorite part about being a drum major?
