Q: What college will you attend? What is your intended major, and why is that major?
A: “I’m attending Texas A&M University, and I’m going to major in engineering. I chose engineering because it’s a very innovative and impactful major. It aligns with my goals in life and allows me to work on projects I actually find interesting.”
Q: What extracurriculars have you been involved in throughout high school?
A: “Throughout high school, I played football for one year and I was on the Academic Decathlon team for one year. I also was in Business Professionals of America, Incubator and National Honor Society.”
Q: What was the most challenging aspect about balancing extracurriculars and academics?
A: “The most challenging part for me was time management. With academics, it usually takes a lot of time for studying and preparation. However, extracurriculars are usually time based. It’s not task oriented, so you can’t do it faster.”
Q: What class was the most challenging for you? Why?
A: “The most challenging class was AP Chemistry because our teacher assigned us a lot of work.”
Q: Who has helped you the most throughout these last four years? How have they helped you?
A: “Ms. Franczvai helped me the most. She brought me so many different opportunities. She’s always willing to give a hand.”
Q: What has been the most memorable part of high school?
A: “Definitely the times I spent with my friends. During school or hangouts, I really enjoyed laughing over random things with them. They made my school experience really enjoyable.”
Q: What advice would you give to your freshman self?
A: “I would tell my freshman self to not stress over things that don’t really matter and to also be more outgoing and be more involved.”
Q: What are you most excited about regarding college?
A: “I’m most excited about living away from home and getting more time to myself. I want to pursue my dreams and travel.”
Q: What would you change about your high school experience?
A: “I would definitely take it less seriously, but at the same time, I would get more involved in the things I wanted to. I also will not sacrifice those things for stuff that isn’t as important.”
Q: Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?
A: “I hope in 10 years I can establish myself. I also don’t see myself sticking to one thing, so I hope I will be able to do as many things as I want. One of my dreams would be to move away from the United States and be an impactful person.”
