Ornament earrings for the speech and debate Angel Tree fundraiser will remain on sale through Dec. 19 in room D220 during lunch.

The smaller earrings are being sold for $2 and the larger earrings are $4. There are also bracelets being sold for $5.

This fundraiser has been a fun way to raise money for everyone involved in the program for the past four years. All profits raised during will be given to the Angel Tree program.

“First of all, it’s fun,” said Sally Squibb, speech and debate teacher. “Second of all, we get to create a product that we can sell and then turn around and give it to the Angel Tree. It’s a good fundraiser for us because we think it makes more sense to have to work to help other people. Because it makes it more meaningful than to just say ‘OK, everybody give me four dollars.'”

The style ranges of the earrings, from huge sparkly swirled earrings, to tiny little Christmas light bulbs.

“Ever since I was old enough to think, I’ve had fun making things,” Squibb said. “Turning something ordinary into something extraordinary. Doesn’t mean that it’s fabulous, but it’s outside the ordinary.”
