Spaghetti dinner to benefit former student

A spaghetti benefit dinner will be held on Friday to support Korey To and her family.

Korey To is a former student trainer and 2013 graduate. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in early November and underwent three surgeries. Although the medical bills are high, she’s on the road to recovery.

This event, hosted by both the staff and student athletic trainers, will be held from 5:30 – 8 p.m. The goal to reach is at least $800 – $1,000.

A bake sale and a few gift cards/certificates will be raffled off as a part of this event as well.

There will be other events that you can also attend that evening, such as varsity basketball games and the drama department’s production of Footloose.

The minimum donation is $5 but attenders may donate as much as they want. For children younger than 5, the ticket is a minimum of $2 and must be purchased at the dinner. All proceeds raised on Friday will go directly to Korey and her family to help cover medical expenses. Tickets may be purchased during lunch or at the door.

The staff and student athletic trainers all encourage people to come and support and help out one of alumni.
